so as stated in my last post, i attended my first bluegrass festival last night. it was alot of fun. i wasnt sure what to expect but i was mostly happy with it. the crowd was definitely an older one, but it didnt stop them from enjoying the music. there was one guy that kept making very loud and very odd noises throughout the evening, i believe they were supposed to be some sort of animal-calling tactic but honestly it just sounded like he was having  a stroke. the bands were all good, especially Rhonda Vincent and her band the Rage as well as a bluegrass/gospel band called Barry Scott and the Second Wind. my friend Hannah and i got to meet both acts and got autographs. she also got one from Ralph Stanley who is a legend in country music. he is very old and had  a sore throat so he didnt sing much in his set. Ms Vincent however was awesome and lived up to my high expectations. id love to see her again. all in all the night was well worth it to me and id certainly go back next year. 

so every year they have a bluegrass festival on jekyll island which is about 20 minutes away from me. ive been wanting to go now for years but for some reason ive never made it. looks like i may finally go tomorrow. ralph stanley and rhonda vincent are playing and im very excited! im going with Hannah : )  i think that she and i would have the most fun together.. shes awesome and very fun. so ill let everyone know how it goes.. peace out

its almost that special moment in time when one year ends and another begins, New Years Eve. personally im looking forward to it, i plan on having a pleasant relaxing and QUIET evening at home! maybe ill watch Rudolphs Shiny New Year or maybe ill read some of the new Stephen King book. i know i wont be going out,ha. i went out on Christmas Eve and suffered the consequences the next day.i felt dreadful and basically wasted the day away in bed miserable. i did have fun hanging out the night before with my beloved Heather but i over-indulged. anyways, New Years Eve will be spent in a different way..maybe ill sit down and make a written list of resolutions. usually i just do a mental list and so it becomes foggy as the year progresses.by writing them down,possibly they will have more importance to me.we shall see.maybe we should all share our resolutions here on friendsmix? what do u all think?

well only a few days left and i will be happily heading to NC :)  in fact itll be on the 10th which is a day after my birthday :P  i hope it snows while im there.ima take pics so be on the lookout for them.werd
